Bimota was a small Italian motorcycle manufacturer. Founded in 1973 in Rimini by Bianchi, Morri and Tamborini (the first two letters of each forming the name BI-MO-TA, a portmanteau), they first customized the top-models of Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki. In the 1980s they also customized Yamaha and Ducati. They made very expensive and exclusivist bikes. In present, they build four models: DB5 Mille, Gobert, Santa Monica and Tesi 2d.

In 2005 in Milan Motorbyke Exposition, Bimota launched a new naked motorbyke derived from the DB5Mille: the new DB6 Delirio.
