Aquila mark had produced several motorcycles. In 1926, the company of Cavani, based in Bologna and a DKW reseller for Italy, build mopeds under the name Aquila used 132 cc engines of the German company (DKW). In 1934 they started to use the Python Rudge engines that had four radial valves and avaliable in 250 cc and 350 cc.

In 1935, this practice disappeared and according to some sources, Aquila motorcycles were built, from 1927 to 1935, in Turin. But the further production included models with engines of 175 cc, four-stroke, with the valves in the head, with a purely sporting characteristic. They then also built mopeds, with nothing in common with its predecessors, were produced in Rome by Moto Aquila from 1954 through 1958.
