The Fiat 131 was a midsized sedan and station wagon built from 1974 to 1984.

Regular 131's were also baged as Mirafiori, after the production plant in which they were produced. Production of the Mirafiori sedan (2 door and 4 door) as well as the station wagon, included a 1300cc and 1600cc SOHC engines.

From 1978 Fiat also produced an upgraded version called Supermirafiori, these contained DOHC engines. Diesel versions were made along with the 131 Racing.

The final revisions were made in 1981, all were produced until production ceased in 1984.

The Fiat 131 Abarth was a very successful rally car it won the World Rally Championship three times, in 1977, 1978 and 1980.

Given that up to 1982 all SEAT models were exact twins of Fiat cars, a spanish version of this car called SEAT 131 was sold and produced in Spain, but only in 4-door bodies. The Spanish factories also produced the station wagon (called 131 Panorama) versions of the car for export purposes, although these were badged with Fiat emblems.
